SALGA-NYC was founded in 1991 by a small band of committed desi queers –
people who saw the need for our community to come together and organize
for the changes we believe in. 22 years later, SALGA is completely
volunteer-led and organizes, supports and celebrates New York City’s
desi queer population. We march in parades and protest others, plan
social and cultural events, and help our diverse communities find
belonging and home in our spaces. To all of our volunteers, past and
present, who’ve worked tirelessly to make SALGA what it is today – thank
you. You’re the reason we continue to imagine and work towards a more
loving world.
Join us for happy hour in celebration of SALGA NYC’s 22nd birthday!!
